Frozen Banana Split
Crust
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
Filling
3-4 bananas
chopped nuts, almonds, pecans
1 quart ice cream, your choice, softened
Sauce
1 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate)
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ cups evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 8 oz. package cool whip
chopped nuts
Directions
Combine crust ingredients and pat in bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan.
Slice bananas lengthwise over crust. Spread ice cream over bananas. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and freeze.
Melt chocolate chips and butter. Add powdered sugar and evaporated milk. Cook until smooth and thick, up to 1/2 hour. Add vanilla. Cool completely and pour over dessert. Freeze.
Remove from freezer a few minutes before serving. Top with Cool Whip and chopped nuts.
